Their project

John Sankey’s website is as stylish, sleek and custom-made as the furniture they sell. They understand that fashion, comfort and innovation are subjective; therefore site visitors can customise their furniture from the fabric to the wood it’s carved from. The site’s every detail has been finely tuned for both function and style.

As an ecommerce site, the site needed the facility online to showcase their multifarious design features. Vision and interactivity was key, which is clear from the look and feel of the site; we were challenged to come up with an innovative and quirky way for visitors to explore their extensive catalogue.




Our approach

Customers can customise their furniture interactively; a configurator brings a customer’s bespoke creations to life, allowing for complete artistic control. The parallax home screen offers a unique and innovative method of encouraging a user journey, and a 360 degree rotation on catalogue product pages show furniture from every angle.


The outcome

The site’s interactivity ensures return visitors and offers an appeal not often seen in the industry. As well as the hat-trick of awards they’ve won with us, John Sankey has also been awarded the Manufacturer Guild Mark in recognition of their quality, attention to detail and service.




John Sankey are always looking to push boundaries. They’re a really creative and exciting client and brand with quirky, yet stylish designs that have even led me to purchase my very own sofa using the newly developed configurator! It’s no surprise that they’ve received a mention and we’re grateful to the Communicator Awards for the honour, as, I’m sure, are the John Sankey team.
