We’re delighted to announce the launch of the Meeting Industry Association’s brand new website! The MIA is one of the fastest growing associations in the conference, meetings and events sector.
The association holds a ‘Not for Profit’ status and continues to be governed by a dedicated group of volunteers who are industry professionals with active leadership roles within their own organisations. With their guidance the MIA continues to evolve with the industry it serves, making this one of the most appropriate membership choices for any organisation operating in the sector.

What did they want from their website?
The MIA were looking for an engaging website which could successfully attract and pique the interests of members of all ages and from all areas of the industry. As well as a clean, modern, visually pleasing online presence, the MIA were looking for a site with a corporate, intuitive layout that placed them firmly as the voice of the meetings and events industry.
Key features
The new site boasts one of the most useful tools for a membership organisation which deals with this subject matter: a sophisticated venue directory. Their current venue directory presents data using APIs from venuedirectory.com with MIA’s signature on-brand design.
The site also contains interesting membership association essentials like a timeline of the organisation’s history, smart templates for the board and council, a gallery and a supplier directory. As well as this, the news area is custom built to allow for categories of a variety of news articles to be pulled through at the user’s request.
Achievements
With their simpler, more intuitive application process and spruced up online marketing hub which their new site will undoubtedly be, they’re looking forward to welcoming new membership and accreditation applications. They’re also eager to promote AIM accredited venues and encourage industry professionals to put these places at the tops of their must-visit lists.
